Visiting My Granny

Next month I visit my grandmother. I enjoy visiting her, even if she has grown a bit obstinate in her old age. I won't embarrass her by divulging her age, but let's just say she's a woman with thoroughly practiced wisdom.

The last time I saw her I brought in my Yamaha keyboard so I could play her some music. She relished it, but regrettably because she's not entirely there, she kept interrupting me to ask me how to clean her computer. Yes, she actually uses a computer. And maybe she was disrupting me because I'm simply that weak at performing with the keyboard.

I always find something bewildering at her house when I see her. Last time, I observed several guides on penny stocks on her coffee table. My grandmother learning how to buy penny stock online? That's bizarre. I wonder what I will encounter on her coffee table this year.

This year will make for an active sojourn. We have to install her different Emtek door knobs and air conditioner filters then repair her garden cart. I likewise have to take her old pots and pans to charity as she just bought a fresh collection of pots and pans to supplant them. As a reward, she claims to also have purchased the best ice cream maker and the greatest of all the electic coffee makers. I'm thankful, yet I also have to laugh softly as she invariably claims to have or use only the greatest of this or that.

If all goes well, she'll utilize both to dish me some sweet java in the morning and ice cream in the evening. This sounds like more than pay back enough for my assistance. I am happy to help her out for nothing, but a bit of robust coffee and sweat ice cream doesn't bother me.
